Welcome to Quilt Company East Quilting Guild

members     Hello Quilters!

We are a non profit group that welcomes all quilters, young and old,  modern and traditional, novice and experienced, to share a common interest in the art and craft of quilting.

Our history: Quilt Company East Quilt Guild was founded in September 1987 as a non profit educational organization to promote all aspects of quilting.

Our mission:  The guild sponsors informational programs and educational workshops for members, and promotes an environment that encourages sharing of ideas, creativity and fellowship.  Our members make and donate quilts to local charities, including hospitals, homeless shelters and nursing homes.

Meeting information:  Meetings are on the third Mondays of every month, except July and August, at 7:15 PM at

Beulah Presbyterian Church‎2500 McCrady Road
Churchill, PA 15235

Itʼs 2013, and you can expect a year of great programs, instructive workshops, social opportunities, charity projects, fun and hilarity, from Quilt Company East Quilt Guild, the friendly guild.

Looking ahead into 2013, it is only eleven months until our quilt show on October 31, November 1 and 2 at Beulah Presbyterian Church, and we have got a lot to do before then! You will be hearing more about the organization of the quilt show, and the work we all need to do to make it happen. We will also need quilts, so now is the time to plan on what you would like to exhibit in our quilt show. If you have any questions about the quilt show, talk to Chrissie Van Tol, the quilt show chairperson.  A raffle quilt is being organized by Nancy Olson. This quilt will help to fund the guildʼs programs. Members will be asked to help make the quilt, and sell tickets.

Looking back to December, I hope you enjoyed the party. Thanks to everyone who contributed food, and to Jackie Monpere and her committee who decorated, set up and cleaned up after us. Sally Janis arranged to have the musical group Amaryllis playing lively background music, a real treat. I hope you enjoyed seeing the quilt display, having extended social time, and had a chance to meet the other quilters at your table.

Wishing you all more time to quilt,
Janet Sutton, QCEQG President
